What You Need:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
6 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup walnuts
Steps:
Cream butter and shortening together. Gradually add sugar and and flour into the mix. Add vanilla and walnuts. Chill until the batter hardens.
Shape into fingers about 1 1/2 inches long and a 1/2 inch in diameter. Place on non-greased cookie sheets and bake at 350℉ for 12 minutes.
Roll into super fine sugar while warm. This recipe makes about 5 dozen cookies.
