Italian Ricotta Cookies

Here comes a traditional, authentic Italian cookie recipe that many people adore and bake during the special holidays and moments of their life, the Ricotta Cookies!


Want to give this recipe a try? Here is the step-by-step ricotta cookies shared by our lovely sister, Amanda!


What You Need:
  • 4 1/2 cups flour

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 1 16 ounce container of ricotta

  • 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Steps:
  1. Mix in a bowl, flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.

  2. In a separate large bowl, mix together the ricotta, eggs and butter, and then slowly add the dry ingredients in.

  3. Bake tablespoon size cookies at 350℉ for 9 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.

  4. Icing is optional, which is a mix of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
