Every day is a new day! Hop on the Polish traditions with this Polish Haluski recipe!

Want to give this recipe a try? Here is the step-by-step Polish Haluski recipe shared by our lovely sister, Nicole!
What You Need:
1 very large onion, sliced into rounds
8 ounces butter, divided
1 large head cabbage, cut into 1-inch pieces
kosher salt, to taste
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons water, if needed
8 ounces 1/2-inch wide egg noodles, cooked
Steps:
Cut the round onion slices in half and then in half again to make 4 pieces.
In a large skillet, sauté the onions in 4 ounces of butter, stirring frequently over low heat, until very lightly caramelized. This takes around 15 minutes.
Add the 1-inch cabbage pieces and remaining 4 ounces of butter, salt, and pepper to taste, and 2 tablespoons of water, if needed.
Make sure not to cover the pan. Saute slowly, stirring frequently over low heat, until the cabbage is tender but not brown. This takes about 30 minutes.
Combine the onion-cabbage mixture with 8 ounces cooked noodles, mixing well. Adjust seasonings and serve!
